30-hour Famine

29,000!  A relatively large numbers.  If you were to count to 29,000 in a day, you would need to say one number every 3 seconds for 24 hours.  That is 20 a minute, 1200 and hour, 29,000 in a day!  Ok big deal, its just a number.  Well, that number, that 29,000, is the number of children under the age of 5 that die everyday from hunger, disease and poverty.  Now how does that number look? It is a BIG DEAL!!!

On Friday, May 23rd, we will kick off our 30-hour famine.  From 1pm on Friday, students and adults will stop eating until 7pm Saturday Night.  Sign up this Sunday at Sunday Morning Class or at Cross Current, adn get your fundraising packet.

For every dollar you collect, you can feed one of those 29,000 children one meal.  Do you know anyone who could spare a dollar? how about more?  Let’s see how much we can collect over the next few weeks!

Sign up this Sunday and get all the info about our 30-hour famine.
